Susan Eskdale, AEP ™

Susan Elizabeth Eskdale, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the age of 56 years.

Susan was born in Leader, SK, on May 18, 1970. She grew up in Forestburg, AB, before going on to college and university, graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta in 1992. She moved to Calgary, AB, in 1993.

She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 285.

She accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of earning her Angel Empowerment Practitioner Certification. Susan loved connecting with pets on both sides of the Rainbow Bridge to bring ease and answer their owners’ questions. She will be most remembered for her kindness, her gentle way of helping others, and her quirky sense of humour.

Her most memorable vacation was when she took her sister Michelle to the Dominican Republic for Susan’s 40th birthday in 2010.

Susan is survived by her parents, Ken and Betty (Eastveld) Eskdale of Regina, SK; and her sister Michelle (Eskdale) Gruendel of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her two nephews, James Michael and John Paul Gruendel of Calgary, AB; her aunts, Barb Eastveld and Mary Ellen (Bunny) Eastveld of Winnipeg, MB, Susan Eastveld of Carmen, MB, and Kerry (Eskdale) Arbeau of Calgary, AB; and a number of cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Francis and Willis Eastveld of Winnipeg, MB; and paternal grandparents, Allan and Jessie Eskdale of Calgary, AB; her maternal uncles, Bill (Susan) and Michael (Cathy) Eastveld; and her paternal aunt, Roberta (Bob) Ursel; as well as other loving aunts and uncles.
